Today was a short riding day and it was a beautiful sunny day. The route was net downhill, and it included a couple of really speedy descents. The only obstacle was a persistent cross/head wind which slowed us way down on the last 10 miles, but, it was a great day to be riding a bike.
We rode through the town of Alpine on the way to our hotel. Alpine is a bustling megalopolis compared to Fort Davis with a population of 6000. (Fort Davis population 1200). Some of the ladies stayed in town for lunch and some shopping.
Tomorrow’s ride will be long and the winds look to not be in our favor.😩
Sunrise from my porch in the early hours ☀️
My cabin at the Lodge at sunset 🌅
Scenery along the route ⛰ Starting to see more green trees!
Love that cabin pic! 🤩
