Hello NOLA!! Great ride today. 70+ miles on the Mississippi River Trail (MRT). It was a welcomed break from road riding! No traffic worries, nice, smooth pavement. And I won’t even complain about the headwind 😂.
The weather was perfect for riding, although the sun was very bright and there was no shade on the trail.
We rode along the Mississippi River all day. It certainly is a working river with a lot of commercial activity and barges.
Riding into NOLA was energizing after being on the trail all day. We rode onto the Audubon Park Trail, Tulane University campus and then to the Hampton Inn in the Garden District. There are very nice bike lanes in the Garden District and motorists are very respectful and courteous.
Hard to believe but we will be in Mississippi tomorrow! 🚴🏻♀️😳
